Lately I've been seeing that the skateboard industry is finally coming to the realization about the economy. This economy is in trouble. We're dealing with hard times. You know this and I know this. There are still companies out there that want to pretend we're not... but we are. This is not new. But, it's interesting to see the skateboard industry finally coming around and saying that. Sentences like this have started appearing in magazines: INSTEAD OF TAKING THE ENTIRE SKATE TEAM TO INDIA THIS PAST FALL, WE OPTED TO DRIVE UP TO NORTHERN CALIFORNIA FOR A WEEK. Jesus, are you serious? You had to put off a trip to fuckin' INDIA this year? Damn, that sucks!

Music to my ears is what I think of when I listen to Willie Heath Neal's new album. Of course, it's MUSIC and it's heading straight for my EARS, but it's good enough to make me jump up and shout for joy that there's still good country musicians out there. Fuck Poop-Country this is the real stuff! Songs about women, drinking, drug-use, and a beat up pick-up truck. Yes, Willie has made an amazing album here.

This album kind of surprised me. I like it. It's really good. I'm not sure how I feel about bar stools and ferris wheels, but but when you put them together and call it an album, it turns out pretty damn decent.
