I was really worried/confused/happy when this package showed up on my desk. I didn't know what to think. Would this music rock? Would it suck balls? Would it make me want to hang myself? Well, inside the beautiful packaging was an album by a band called Existant. Who are they? I've never heard of them. Well, there's a pretty girl on the cover. It must be worth a listen to.

Listening to Jay Shaner's album BEST LAID PLANS brings back grand memories of people that I met just like him when I was growing up and hanging out in coffee shops and open mic nights all around my city. He's got a great voice and good songs. Very mellow and intriguing. I'm glad that Jay made this album. There's a lot in his songs that people like me can identify with. I'm happy with this album.

I'm actually very confused by the press kit sitting in front of me of Ahmond's debut album THE BOY YOU ONCE KNEW. In front of me is a toy monkey, a press sheet that looks like a comic book, and a very strange CD packaging. Am I dreaming? Is this for real? Ahmond's agents have really went out of their way to showcase him different from other folk-rock-experimental singers. Seriously, I feel like I just bought a giant box of cereal and inside I've found a prize and other assorted items to keep my mind off the fact that the cereal isn't really that good. But who cares, right? There's a prize inside!
