 For those of you FILM GEEKS out there - I'm about to make your nipples hard. I've touched, handled, and went all the way with THE RED camera. People have been talking about this camera for over a year and a half now - and finally some people have been lucky enough to get their hands on one (there's only about 300 or so out right now and there's 4,000 companies on a waiting list for one). I feel quite honored to have the pleasure of working with a production company who has access to this camera. Why am I so excited? Well, this camera is revolutionizing the film/production world - in a big way.
Think about high-definition for a minute. Do you like how awesome that looks? Do you like the way everything is crystal-clear and you can almost reach out and touch the porn star you're watching on TV when it's in high-def? Well, THE RED camera shoots 5-times more clear than HD video. It's actually the best quality camera in the world - that doesn't cost over $200,000. You can shoot footage and project it onto a movie screen without losing any of the resolution. That's fucking unbelievable for a camera like this! THE RED is also very, very high in demand. There are going to be some major videos and film projects coming out of Alabama this year, and I'm helping to become a part of it. Move over Hollywood, Independent film is going strong in the South!
Hopefully I'll be able to get friends and fans from THE BIGGEST LETDOWN to help out and act or work in films that will be shot. This means that you all could have a very good chance of being seen by millions of people all over the world - and you don't have to do anything stupid like killing school kids or your parents to get this sort of exposure!
So, this isn't really a review or anything about the camera. I just wanted to mention that it's a real thing - it's not a legend any more. It's big, black and beautiful. It's THE RED.
