Normally, I'm not a fan of this music. I'm not particularly a fan of dance-pop artists with obscure names. But, have you seen the way this girl looks? Damn, she's hot! That's what gets me to listen to this CD. Then, the songs aren't as bad as I originally thought, either!
Really, in her music, I think back to the awesome Russian pop group pseudo-lesbian duo named TATU. I was a huge fan of them. Renee's music reminds me of Tatu. If you hated Tatu, then don't listen to Renee Zawawi. Some of the songs on this album sound a lot like when Hollywood makes big budget films with teenagers in a RAVE dancing and this is the type of music playing. You know, like when the high school jocks are kickin' it next to a keg and all of a sudden break dancers start doing synchronized dances in the middle of an elaborate dance floor with glow sticks hanging out of their pants - and then all of a sudden the cops show up to bust the party because in this movie there's no raving allowed in the city that the kids live in.
Similar to the movie Footloose, but worse.
What I like most about reviewing this album is the fact that this is the greatest press kit I've ever received. There's multiple pictures and snapshots of Renee and all the information I could ever want to know about her career as a singer-songwriter. There's also a ton of information about how to purchase this CD and even a review about a DVD that she's put out. I'm very impressed with the company who put this thing together. Congratulations, Mia Mind Music. You've done a good job getting me all sorts of information. I'll cherrish it forever.
Check out Renee Zawawi's website and buy the album.
