I'm so happy to be reviewing this album! Damn, it feels like forever since I had the chance to review a band that I actually can listen to on a daily basis. I'm not saying anything about all the other garbage that comes across my doorsteps, but this is really a band that has potential.
The album is called FROM THE NIGHTS YOU LOST YOUR VOICE and it starts off strong. PUT DOWN YOUR GUNS (track 2) is really catchy and makes you want to jump up and down a lot at a drunken party next to an 18 year old senior in high school hoping to catch a glimpse of her cleavage. Next, the song WALK AWAY keeps your heart pumped and ready to scale walls to show how masculine you really are. Fuck, these are good songs. Pass me some more, will ya?
Ok, here we go. Track #4 is called NOT SO TYPICAL and they're attacking your RADICAL reflexes with this gem. If you like any of the POPULAR Matchbox 20 songs, then this band is a perfect fit in your collection of music. I'm actually not a fan of that band, but that's the only way I can describe this rock sound for the time being.
Bands like 2ND DAY CRUSH give me hope that maybe there still are artists out there who know how to rock the house and don't sell their souls to the devil of mainstream music. Good going, guys. Send me a postcard someday.
Oh look! They have a MYSPACE page! Go here!
