Ladies and Gentlemen, I like this movie. It was by accident that I stumbled across this rare gem, but I'm glad I did. I suppose it's not really RARE, but it was an unknown movie to me until this past week. If you like horror, crime, dark comedy, and lots of people dying, then this is the new movie for you to watch.
Alright, here's the plot: This thief is in trouble with this weird Russian Mob guy (who he is in debt to) so he is sent to Moscow to steal a very rare and precious jeweled cross from this crazy mansion. The thief and his peeps go in and they think everything's cool. But, as the title suggests, the main plan gets BOTCHED and they resort to taking some hostages with them to an abandoned floor in the mansion. That's when things start to get wierd, bloody, and funny all at the same time.
Usually, I'm not a fan of comedy in my horror soup, but this movie had just enough funny moments to keep me entertained without pissing me off. The main killer (a desendant of Ivan the Terrible) is actually kind of creepy at first. As things go on, he starts to get really goofy (the only flaw in this film). Also interestingly enough, there is no nudity in this film - but that's not noticeable).
So, in closing, I like this movie - and I recommend it to all of you out there. Check out BOTCHED - and don't steal jeweled crosses from the Russians.
