I'm really excited because lately I've been listening to some great music that's been submitted from bands and record labels. I've been waiting for this day to arrive, and I think it's here, now. The Atomic Atoms are really good. A three piece band is either going to suck hardcore, or rock your socks off. These guys rock. I'd love to see them play live.
No shit, these guys have a great album here. I'm a fan of STILL AIN'T COMIN' HOME and IRRATIONAL. It's good to know that indie bands still exist that are all about the rock, and none of the bullshit. Hell, I don't know these guys personally, so maybe there's a lot of bullshit there, but I'm going to take an educated guess and say that if there IS some bullshit with them, it's not much.
The lead singer reminds me of the band Lucero mixed with a lot of rock 'n roll. If you like Lucero - even a tiny bit, you'll really like these guys. The Atomic Atoms are hooked up with Indicity Records - and this is the first release that I've reviewed from that label. I need to check back into my catalog now and see what else they've put out.
Go ahead check out their MYSPACE PAGE and purchase this CD. Don't even listen to it at first. Just own it. Tell your friends that you have it. They will be jealous.
