 First things first - this album packaging is awesome! It's a really cool and impressive way to package a CD. Everything looks normal at first, and then when you open the flap to see the CD in the middle, there's a little tab that actually slides the CD out partially. It's really cool, but hard to explain. Why don't you go out and buy the album so you can experience that for yourself.
So, I'm a fan of the name of this band. I like the name MOOSE JAWW. It's got a nice ring to it. Speaking of nice RINGS, I like the first song on the album called NO WAY OUT best. The other songs are good, but this was a great song to start the album off. Next comes ROLLERCOASTER. Those are both great songs for this album. I like the other songs, but those two really kept my attention.
With there sound, it's hard to classify them. Think back to when you go to seedy underground clubs and see great bands. This would be the band that plays right before the headliner. They definitely are NOT the opening band, and they aren't the band following right after that band. They would be the band that plays next. So, the crowd would easily be grooving with them and getting pumped up to see who's next. Actually, this slot is great for a band, because there's a lot of people that have to leave right before the big band. So, this would in turn be the last band they see - making them the HEAD LINER for these people! What a great thing for MOOSE JAWW!!! I'm happy for them. They really sound good.
You should do yourself a favor and check out their website. You can actually hear all of their music there. But, take it from me - buy the album so you can check out the CD packaging!
