This album is classified as rock. Really? I don't hear it. I knew that I was in for something different when I looked at the CD cover. I immediately thought back to the mid-90s types of album covers. I also starting thinking back to the hordes of awful music I heard in the 90s. This album isn't like that, though. Well, it's not rock. It can't be. There is no way that this album is a rock album. I will not let that be the case.

Do you ever remember that show READING RAINBOW? Do you remember the opening song? Well, if you do, try to imagine an entire album that sounds like that. Of course, that's probably not a good example for me to use because that song makes me want to blow my brains out. I don't know why, but when I hear even a slight bit of that song something triggers inside me to say GEE, I DON'T THINK I WANT TO LIVE ANYMORE. WHERE'S A GUN? So, that was not a great way to describe this album, but really it seems as though Paul Geng is singing to kids or to parents with kids. It is almost like he's about to teach them about the wonders of reading, writing, or arithmetic. All of those are good things to teach people, too.

Paul has done something here that most musicians won't do, though. He played every instrument on the album. Not at once. No, he's definitely not Hazel Adkins or Bob Log III (both of which you should probably look up), but he did manage to play each instrument for this album. I was actually surprised that he didn't also do the photography for the cover, too. And while he was at it, why didn't he mold the CD cover and reproduce everything himself? Geez, he's lazy. Just kidding.

Anyways, check out his website and get some music samples to help you decide if this is the album for you. If you DO BUY this CD, though, give Paul a heads-up that it was because of me. I'm sure he'd appreciate that.
