Feriz Blue's album is in front of me now. It's different. It's kind of funky, kind of rockin',kind of a lot of stuff. Is this what New York funk/rock bands sound like these days? Well, if so, then good job guys. It's interesting and different.
There's a lot of sounds emerging from these tracks. There's a lot of instruments. There's definately a funky beat going on, too. If you've ever heard of the band STILLING THE LAKE then you'd maybe/possibly be surprised that this is the group that formed out of them. Yes, it's those guys. Do you remember them? Me, either. But, if you do remember then, then this the group now. You best recognize.
From the bio that I'm reading, they have a pretty good following on Myspace. That's not really a triumph, though, considering EVERYBODY can have a huge following on Myspace. Really, Myspace is just a place for people to get more and more friends. Hell, most of the people that are my friends on my personal Myspace page don't know who the hell I am - and it's the same the other way around.
So check out Feriz Blue. I don't know what the name stands for. If you see these guys hanging out at a bar, maybe you can ask them for me. Send all answers to:
