 Have you ever heard of Wilco? Are you a fan of Wilco's music? Well, if you are, then I've got a great band for you to check out. It's name is Pronto. Pronto is a solo project of Wilco keyboardist Mikael Jorgensen. So, like I said, if you like Wilco, then you're in for a treat with Pronto.
Pronto is surprisingly great. When I listen to this album, I think about watching a great movie and having this as the background montage music. Like, when the main character (male) realizes that he's done a girl wrong (played by Gwyneth Paltrow) and starts to put his life (and apartment mess) together. Then as he rushes out of his (now clean) apartment, he stops at the corner store and buys a dozen flowers (not roses, mind you) and then rushes out to the train station to stop this girl from leaving New York for good. Well, that's what I think when I listen to this album. You may think of something different, but you'd be wrong. My opinions are usually right.
This album is the kind of music that I can listen to for years to come. It's very relaxing and enjoyable. Think about the Beatles during the later years. Great stuff.
Ok, so this album doesn't come out until March of this year, but it's going to be worth the wait. It's great stuff. Pronto will be touring for most of 2009 so you should be able to catch them at some point. Get your tickets now. The more people that read this review, the more people that will be at their concerts.
