World Conspiracy skateboard and clothing store recently held it's 2nd annual ZOMBIE PROM in Huntsville to celebrate 14 years in business (and just to throw one hell of a good party). In this economy, it's great to hear that a completely independent store such as World Conspiracy can stay open. Kevin and I went along to it, and really had some fun.
It's always interesting to me to hear people say that there's nothing to do in this city. There are big parties like this popping up all over the place. You just have to know where it's going on at. World Conspiracy is a good place to hear about these things, too.
So, this really was a PROM, complete with the crowning of a zombie king and queen. Kevin and his date almost won, but their outfits were pretty trashed by the end of the night. Kevin's face was falling off (making his look even creepier). There was a ton of food and drinks and everything was decked out in a LIVING DEAD theme. The music was awesome. There was a band that played for a bit, and then Flip (owner of World Conspiracy) DJ'd the rest of the event. At one point they played TIME WARP and all the zombies got up and danced to it. It's interesting to see 100 or so zombies dancing the Time Warp!
So, if you missed out on the ZOMBIE PROM this year, there's always next year. Trust me, it's better than your high school prom ever were!
