Levees BrokeEveryone over the age of 13 needs to see this film. This should be shown in classrooms all over the world. A manditory movie for people to see until they get the full force of what is being shown here. "How can America have a Government who would let this happen to their own people?" I'm a very patriotic person. I was patriotic before being patriotic was fashionable. On September 10th, 2001 I was patriotic. I have raised my voice against people bashing America for years. But, I don't know what I can say to this film.

I remember when this happenened, and I remember watching the news reports. I, honestly, was more concerned with the other areas of the Gulf Coast who got hit harder by the storm. I have some relatives living on the coast in  Mississippi that my family and I lost contact with and had no idea of they made it out alive or not. Luckily they did.

Levees Broke, bitch. The news made it seem as though there was some flooding in New Orleans and all of a sudden people went crazy and starting shooting each other and looting. What they DIDN'T show was the utter lack of support by all of our governments and Congress because we have all of our troops and resources in another Country fighting an invisible monster called terrorism. Calling our own citizens refugees and (after more than a week) finally flying them to different parts of the Country and leaving them there to figure out how they are supposed to survive. These people lost everything they ever had. They watched as their friends, families, children and others died in front of their eyes. Then, after everything was over, their insurance companies decided that if they had FLOOD insurance, then it was an act of a hurricane. If they had HURRICANE insurance, then it was an act of flooding.

Do you think I'm lying? Do you think that something like that could never happen in America? Well, think again. This is a 6-hour document of the hypocricies of this Nation. I have respect for the people survived this ordeal all over the Gulf Coast. This was a horrible tragedy that happened to you. Your Government forgot about you, but we (as people) didn't. Thank you, Spike Lee, for helping to break down the walls of lies and cover-ups.

So, in closing, yeah, it's a pretty good film. Go see it, why don't you?
